SIX STAGES OF MANHOODA REFLECTIVE GUIDE
← Return to the rings

STAGE 05 / 06

Restored King

Authority held in open hands.

Restoration becomes stewardship: leading from identity and wisdom gained through both success and failure.

01

Overview

The restored king rises from the pain of the wounded man because he has come to know himself—not because he has chosen to fight longer and harder.

He is more centered, understanding who he is and something of his ‘why.’ He becomes a leader of other men through wisdom learned from both success and failure. He recognizes his place in God’s kingdom as priest, prophet, and king.

02

The Enemy’s Attacks

  • Stirring a thirst for more power, position, or prestige.
  • Tempting him to treat the kingdom entrusted to him as his own, forgetting the King of Kings.
  • Turning leadership into tyranny or control.

03

The Path Toward Growth

The king learns to rule wisely in family, work, and every season of life. His ultimate aim is to lead others like Jesus.

To grow toward the wise sage, he must recognize when to lay down the crown without withdrawing. He gives power to the next generation and offers wisdom from alongside them.

04

Reflection Questions

Take time with these. Consider them in prayer, in a journal, or in conversation with a trusted man.

  1. Where am I treating what God entrusted to me as something I own?
  2. Do the people I lead experience my authority as service, control, or something else?
  3. What power or responsibility might I begin sharing while remaining present with wisdom?

Each new stage incorporates the earlier ones. These questions invite reflection wherever you are in life; they are not a measure of rank or maturity.
