STAGE 03 / 06

Zealous Warrior

A heart worth protecting.

Strength meets purpose through responsibility, sacrifice, and the call to fight for what matters.

01

Overview

The warrior begins his quests and mission in life. He brings physical and mental strength into the battle, setting out to build a career, family, faith, wealth, and reputation.

With warrior energy, he digs deep to fight, protect, provide, and defend. His growing strength carries real responsibility—and needs a purpose greater than his own accomplishments.

02

The Enemy’s Attacks

  • Inflating his ego, sharpening his appetite for more, and feeding pride in his accomplishments.
  • Keeping him absorbed in the battles of this world, unable to know peace and contentment.
  • Drawing him toward either passivity or aggression.

03

The Path Toward Growth

The warrior learns to protect the integrity of his heart for nobler things. He does not need to kill his heart out of fear of temptation; it can remain a reservoir of passionate strength and holy desire.

He must face the battles he has been avoiding and stop choosing the path of least resistance. His strength serves the greater Kingdom of God rather than the kingdoms of this world or his own life.

04

Reflection Questions

Take time with these. Consider them in prayer, in a journal, or in conversation with a trusted man.

  1. What am I fighting for, and whose kingdom does it serve?
  2. Where am I avoiding a necessary battle—or turning a relationship into one?
  3. How can I protect my heart while offering strength without passivity or aggression?

Each new stage incorporates the earlier ones. These questions invite reflection wherever you are in life; they are not a measure of rank or maturity.
